  • This is such a brilliant double LP from Keith Jarrett. When I picked this up I was expecting solo works and didn't think it could be that great, just good. I was wrong however. The first LP, Invocation, has Keith Jarrett playing solo Sax and solo Organ. When he plays the Sax he adds a great drone sound to it stretching out his notes and the Organ solo's are pure genius. Sometimes it sounds like these solo works could be put on a horror soundtrack too. It's quite different to hear something like this coming from a jazz artists. The second LP, The Moth And The Flame, is all solo Piano movements. Nothing to "Far-out-there" but great to listen too. This was such a good find for myself as it's my first taste of Keith Jarrett. This Album has me wanting more for sure.
